Supervisory Board

Jolande Sap

Jolande Sap works as an independent advisor for business and social enterprises on issues of sustainability. She is also the chair of NPHF federation on health. From 2010 to 2012, she was the leader of the Green Left Party (from 2010 to 2012) in the Dutch Parliament. She was a Member of Parliament from 2008 until October 2012, when she left politics. She has worked in various research and leadership positions at both government and private organizations and has a broad experience in issues of social-economic development, finance and equal opportunities. She studied economics and specialized in political economy and philosophy at the Tilburg University. Jolande joined Fairfood’s Supervisory Board on 1 October 2013 and has been the chairperson of the Supervisory Board since January 2014.

Maxine Tillij

Maxine is a lawyer by education. She is the owner of CorporateSense, a boutique advisory firm focusing on strategy, governance and strategic stakeholder management in regulated markets. Maxine works in an ecosystem of professionals who share the same belief in sustainability, fairness and transparency.  She strongly believes in equal rights and opportunities for everyone, and therefore has chosen to devote part of her time to NGOs who advocate these values. Maxine is also member of the Supervisory Board of Farm Zero. Farm Zero provides sustainable, commercial and non-profit agricultural solutions for resource poor countries and communities. Previously she was Director Corporate Development of the Executive Board of EBN B.V., the company participating on behalf of the Dutch State in exploration, production, storage and sale of oil and natural gas. In this role, she was responsible for the strategy, business development, legal, communications and public affairs departments of EBN. Maxine’s previous roles include senior legal counsel at the Dutch electricity company N.V. Nuon and attorney-at-law at De Brauw, Blackstone, Westbroek N.V. and Houthoff Buruma N.V. She graduated from Leiden University, holds a postdoctorate degree in EU competition law and attended various Business Programs at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. She joined the Supervisory Board in September 2014.

Frits Kremer

Frits Kremer (1956) is the managing director of Mediaset Business Events, chairman of sustainability network Foodpolicy NL and columnist for the of trade journal FoodPersonality. Besides that he is a member of the Advisory Board of the Good Fish Foundation. From 2003-2006 Kremer was the head corporate communication of supermarket group Laurus. In that same period, together with Natuur & Milieu and Oxfam Novib he laid out the foundation for a sustainability policy for Super de Boer.

Hedwig Bruggeman

Hedwig Bruggeman grew up in Zeelandic Flanders and studied to be a specialist husbandry at the Wageningen University. She gained extensive international experience during several long-term assignments in Africa, after which she headed the AgriProFocus network organization for 10 years. Since November 2015 she is head of the Center for Development Innovation at Wageningen University & Research.

Pieter Goudswaard

Independent marketing specialist Pieter Goudswaard (1974) helps innovative, sustainable entrepreneurs to increase their social impact and business success. Besides, he guides (groups of) companies in making their international product chains ‘future proof’. He does this either from the organization Generous Minds (of which he is co-founder) or the agrifood team of MVO Nederland. He has years of experience in the field of marketing, commerce, innovation and sustainability, at organizations such as Procter & Gamble, Unilever, Danone, People4Earth and Jumbo.
