For the UN, SDG 1 is the most important of all: an end to extreme\u00a0poverty<\/a>. The aim is that by 2030 no poverty, meaning that one will have to live of less than $1,90 day (obviously subject to inflation). In 2015 about 702 million people were living under this poverty line \u2013 9,5 percent of the world\u2019s population. Almost 1 in 10 people that is.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Subgoals<\/strong>
Fairfood specifically focuses on sub-goal 1.4: \u201cBy 2030, ensure that all men and women, in particular the poor and the vulnerable, have equal rights to economic resources, as well as access to basic services, ownership and control over land and other forms of property, inheritance, natural resources, appropriate new technology and financial services, including microfinance.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
